Summer Program
Grades 6-8 (Middle School) – June-July
Provides an opportunity for middle school youth to build a network of teens aiming for success, connect with a village of professionals in various industries for career exploration, explore various career/career opportunities, receive academic support from certified teachers and earn community service hours.
Grades 9-12 (High School) – June-July
Provides an opportunity for high school youth to complete an evidence-based career assessment that will provide career options based on skills/talents, earn an income, build a network of teens aiming for success, receive workforce development skills from a village of professionals in various industries for career exploration, explore various career/career opportunities, receive academic support from certified teachers and earn community service hours.
Certified Teens – Year Round
The Certified Teens program exposes high school members to career options that do not require a college degree (such as trades). The program is designed to help members reduce student loan debt; and earn an income immediately after high school graduation. Teen Leaders funds certifications for members ages 16+. Some certifications offered include Google IT (CyberSecurity, Project Management, IT Support, Digital eCommerce), Real Estate, Certified Nursing Assistant and ServSafe. TLA members also have the opportunity to choose their own certification to explore.
