About Saqirah

Saqirah Redmond, co-founder of Teen Leaders of America (TLA) has worked with many youth organizations including Sickle Cell Foundation, Children Restoration Center, McGhee/King Tutorial and Enrichment Center, Hands on Atlanta and Cool Girls. She has also worked with youth programs through various organizations such as Turner Volunteer Council, Georgia State University-Office of Community Outreach Partnership and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Currently, she works with the Sickle Cell Foundation and Turner Volunteer Council to assist with fundraising projects and coordinating community events. She has also served as Track Coach for New Birth and a camp counselor for the Sickle Cell Foundation’s annual Camp New Hope summer retreat program where she conducted youth seminars and workshops, served as a tutor and mentor for the Tutorial Program and Comprehensive Patient Support Services, and maintained the budget for camp activities.

Saqirah holds a Masters of Science Administration concentration Public Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from Clark Atlanta University. She developed experience with student loan and grant programs while working as a Loan Consultant and Accountant at Clark Atlanta University and Georgia State University. She has also worked for major corporations including Houston’s Restaurant Corporation, NationsBank (currently Bank of America) and Turner Broadcasting Company.
